Be Your Own Hero-Personal Safety Workshop in Shelby Twp.

Girls (ages 11-14) will learn how to avoid being the victim of an attack, as well as protection and escape strategies for if they find themselves in danger. Police officers and personal safety professionals will share potentionally life saving tips and techniques. We will also talk about internet safety, and teach them how to be safe in cyber space. Participants will create ID cards with photos and fingerprinting, and more. This is a Silver Award Project, see attached flyer for more information.

 

C07 Family Picnic/Awards Ceremony in Shelby Twp.

Come and celebrate our C07 adventures in Girl Scouting this past year! There will be Adult C07 Leadership Awards (nomination form attached), Adult C07 Years of Service Recognition, Girl C07 Bronze & Silver Award Recognition, and a Community 07 Bridging Ceremony!  See attached document for more information, to nominate a C07 adult volunteer for a community award and to register.

Come join us as we experience science, sand art, outdoor games and some pure camp fun! Girl Scout Daisies, Brownies and Juniors will have scheduled sessions. Cadettes and older will choose self-directed actvities, sessions of choice, or work with the girl leadership team for a taste of camp leadership.

Scouts and their special “She” can join us for a FUN *Girl-led Camping Weekend! This camp is designed to build the relationships between Girl Scouts and their “VIP Lady” of choice! Be it Mom, Grandma, Aunt or any adult female special to your scout, they are sure to have an awesome time! Get ready for some pampering and traditional Girl Scout Camp fun as well!

Girl Scout Mass in St. Clair

Come join us for Girl Scout Saturday mass at St. Mary's, 415 N. 6th St. in St. Clair.  Please RSVP to Katie Parlow, pkparlow@aol.com .

Arrive at 4PM and meet in church basement.  We will assign flag carriers and those taking up gifts to those that show up.  Mass begins at 4:30 p.m.   Cupcakes, milk, juice, coffee will be provided in the Church basement after Mass.  Wear your vest/sash/uniforms.

Global Youth Service Day Project--Shelby

Come help us make the world a better place! Join us on the World’s Largest Youth Service Day as we improve the Shelby Township Veteran’s Memorial grounds! Volunteers participate in the Veteran Memorial Project by planting flowers, raking, cleaning the grounds, etc. For more details and to register see the attached document.

Girl Scout Daisies, Brownies, and Juniors are invited learn all about money! Girls will make and take Money Smart crafts, and explore the bank while learning all about how money works!

Troops are responsible for maintaining Adult/Girl ratios. Community Troop girls must attend with a parent/guardian.

Photos will be taken at the event.

Stargazing 201 in Ray Township

Join us at the Stargate observatory located at Walcott Mills Rotary Park for an evening of stargazing. The Warren Astronomical Society will be on hand to take you on a tour of the observatory, teach you what we are looking at and how to find things in the night sky as well as you on using  real telescope. There will be a take home project, a snack and a patch included. Cost is $5 per girl. No fee for adults unless they wish to order a patch, see flyer.

Community Troop girls may use their program credits towards this event.
