Join Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan at the Detroit Zoo.  Explore 125 acres of naturalistic exhibits from aardvarks to zebras and features such as award-winning exhibits like National Amphibian Conservation Center, Great Apes of Harambee, and the Arctic Ring of Life. 

Girl registration through GSSEM includes a passport at check-in.  This passport will include a scavenger hunt-type activity (specific to each age level) to be stamped at 3 stops along your visit, 1 activity station, and 2 craft stations.  (totaling 6 stamps)  Girls will earn awards from the Journey "It's Your Planet., Love It!"  Daisies - Firefly Award Brownies - LOVE Water Award Juniors - Energize Award Cadettes - Aware Award. 

Activity stations will be open from 11-3 and are exclusive to our Girl Scouts who are pre-registered.  This includes admission to the zoo, activity stations, participation patch and use of Pierson Lake Pavilion.  All siblings wishing to be included in the activity and craft stations must purchase a girl ticket for the appropriate grade level.  Sorry no passes for children participating can be honored. 

Girls must be accompanied by their families or troops must meet the adult to girl ratios as outlined in Volunteer Essentials; Safety.  Program Aides, adults and older girl volunteers are needed at this event, please contact to volunteer.

Refunds are available when requested in writing (email is acceptable) before the registration deadline.  Cancellations after the registration deadline are non-refundable and non-transferable.  Full refunds will be issued if a council event or series is cancelled.  For questions contact Caroline Feathers at  Registration deadline is May 6th or sooner if capacity is reached.  Cost is $14 per child and $9 per adult.  You must purchase the appropriate age level to assure your child is participating in the right activities, tickets are not transferable from one age level to another or from adult to child, etc.
