50th Anniversary International River Crossing
It's time to celebrate 50 years of international friendship in a BIG WAY!
Come and be a Maker, make new friends, try new things, celebrate 50 Years of happiness, and become a part of a great historical Girl Scout/Girl Guide event!
International River Crossing is GSSEM Council's Premier Legacy Event! Join THOUSANDS of sister Girl Scouts and Canadian Girl Guides in a day of international friendship along the banks of the St. Clair River. This family-friendly event is open to girls of all program levels and is filled with power-packed programs.

Advanced registration required. Show off an innovative project full of imagination and creativity! Troops/groups or individuals get a one-hour timeslot to show and tell about their project, as well as special recognition as a participating Maker at the Maker-Inventor Faire!
Registration deadline: Sunday, July 30.

Push strollers (or pull child-size wagons) decorated to celebrate the Big 50—and don't forget your banners too!
- Lots of other fun events
Like historical displays, activities, proclamations, learning about the WAGGGS World Centers, and more!
- And plenty of activities, too!
Like SWAPS, patch programs, a dance party, crafts, outdoor fun, and more!
Once you register for this event with GSSEM, crossing the border to Canada is FREE—with the proper documentation. (Adults need a passport, or enhanced driver's license; children under 16 only need a birth certificate). Whether you cross the border or not, there's fun to be had on both sides!
All children must have adult supervision.
Cost: $15 per person
Registration deadline: September 17, 2017 (or sooner if event fills to capacity)
Refunds are available when requested in writing (email is acceptable) before the registration deadline. Cancellations after the registration deadline are non-refundable and non-transferable. Full refunds will be issued if a council event or series is cancelled.
