Registration & Pricing

Registration for GSSEM camp programs is open now! Visit the event calendar to find session dates and details, and to complete registration. For assistance or questions about registering for camp, please contact GSSEM's Customer Care at 1-800-482-6734, ext. 4.

Online registration closes at midnight 15 days in advance of the session start date.

Paper registration forms should be sent to the Detroit Service Center and must be postmarked 21 days in advance of the session start date to ensure sufficient processing time.

Summer Resident Camp Pricing

Tiered Pricing:
Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan feel that camp is an important part of every girl's development. We have developed a tiered pricing system to make camp more affordable. Please read the description of the tiers below carefully and select the tier that best fits your family’s financial situation.

  • Tier 1 - The tier 1 rate reflects the cost of camp for your child. If this rate works for your family, please select this rate.
  • Tier 2 - The tier 2 rate is subsidized so families that need help can afford camp. If selecting the tier 2 rate is necessary for your child to attend camp, please select this rate.

Ranch Camp Pricing:
Any registered Girl Scout can attend Summer Resident and Ranch Camps. To register as a Girl Scout, start the process on our Join page! After registration as a Girl Scout is completed, a girl can immediately register for camp. Girl Scout membership is $25.00 annually. Price Incudes base camp price plus $40 riding/care lesson per girl per day (for four days; M-Th)

Paying for Summer & Ranch Camp

A $50.00 non-refundable deposit is required at the time of registration. Balances are due in full no later than 15 days prior to the start of your session. Last minute registrations made 15 to 30 days prior to your session requires payment in full when registering.

Applying Product Sales Earnings:
By participating in the product sales programs, girls in GSSEM District and Community Troops not only learn about entrepreneurship and financial literacy, they can also earn program recognitions which they can apply to the cost of camp!

Cashew Cash or Cookie Dough: Based upon the level of sales achieved, all girls can earn Cashew Cash or Cookie Dough (plastic recognition cards) to help cover the cost of GSSEM-sponsored camps.

Program Credit: In addition to Cashew Cash, Cookie Dough, and Camp Credit, girls in Community Troops can also earn Program Credits which can be applied toward the costs of any GSSEM-sponsored camps or Community-sponsored day, weekend, or week-long camp programs.

To apply Cashew Cash, Cookie Dough, and/or Program Credit to the cost of a camp session, include the number that is on the back of the plastic card on the camp registration form or your session confirmation notice if you have already paid a $50.00 deposit and send it to the Finance Department at the Detroit Service Center. The cards cannot be applied to camp fees through online registration.

Financial Assistance Request for Summer or Ranch Camp:

  1. Complete and sign the Financial Assistance Application for Summer Camp and Ranch Camp.
  2. Make copies of the required income and/or support documentation.
  3. Mail the application (#1) and the required documentation (#2) to:

  4. In 2-3 weeks, you will be notified of the amount (if any) of your award. A blank Summer & Ranch Camp Registration form will be included with your award.
  5. Fill out the Summer & Ranch Camp Registration form. Note: if applicant (girl) is not a registered member, also fill out the Girl Membership form. Attach copy of your award letter with the $50 required deposit (and the Girl Membership form with $15 membership dues if needed) to:

Your registration and payment will be processed. A confirmation of your registration will be emailed to the email address we have on file from your membership form.

Cancellations:
Refunds for cancellations (minus the non-refundable $50 deposit) are available when requested in writing (email is acceptable) up to 15 days in advance of your camp session. After this date no refunds of any amount will be available except in the case of medically documented illness or injury that prevents your child from attending. Refunds will not be made in the case of alterations in activities due to weather or due to early release of a camper or for loss of time at camp for medical or behavioral reasons.
