Core Camps

A core camp is an all-inclusive weekend experience for Girl Scouts where girls have outdoor fun with a purpose! Each core camp has a theme based on the Journey or badges the girls will be earning. Core Camps are planned by GSSEM staff and led by GSSEM camp staff.

Troops, adult/girl pairs, and Juliettes can attend Core Camps at Hawthorn Hollow. Girls who choose to register independently of a Troop and not bring an adult will be placed in a cabin together and assigned with a GSSEM Camp Counselor. Troops may share cabins with other Troops and should be prepared to make new friends. The per-person price includes meals, lodging, outdoor education activities, a core camp patch, and any badges or Journey the girls earn that weekend.
