Community Sponsored Weekend Camps are camp weekends sponsored by one of GSSEM’s 12 Girl Scout Communities. They are planned and organized by a leadership team of older girls (Cadettes, Seniors, Ambassadors) and adult volunteers. Registration is open for any troop or girl in GSSEM to attend. Volunteers plan and deliver camp activities. Community Sponsored Weekend Camps are themed and offer the Girl Scout Leadership Experience (Journeys and badges) through workshops and large-group activities. Earned badges and an event patch may be provided during the program. A variety of programming is offered each weekend based on each leadership team’s goals for the program. Attendees will be sharing housing during this program.
