GSSEM Attends Women of Achievement & Courage Dinner
The 21st Annual Women of Achievement & Courage (WOAC) dinner, sponsored by Michigan Women's Foundation, was held on April 27, 2010 in Detroit, MI. Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan-select gold award recipients, volunteers & staff - were proud to be in attendace at this inspirational night.
Women from across the Metro Detroit region came together to recognize and honor the achievements of local women whose accomplishments inspire other women to achieve their life goals and undertake challenges that make positive differences for individuals &communities.
Past WOAC honorees include Mary Kramer, Detroit Free Press columnist Rochelle Riley, the late human rights activist and former president of the Detroit City Council, Maryann Mahaffey, Aretha Franklin and financial savvy and best-selling author Gail Perry-Mason.
