2010 Summer Day Camp Information is coming soon! Check back often!
Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan Day Camps have programs for girls completing kindergarten through 11th grade. You will see that there’s something for every girl, no matter how adventurous she may be! No matter what you choose, your daughter will meet new friends, gain skills, and make memories to last a lifetime.
Brownie Units for girls who have completed grades 1-2
Younger girls are introduced to the out-of-doors through play, nature activities, arts & crafts, and outdoor cooking. It’s just plain fun! These campers also might work on Brownie Try-It activities.
Junior Units for girls who have completed grades 3-4. Girls will try more challenging activities in the out-of-doors. They may have the opportunity to try archery, practice advanced camp skills and participate in an overnight campout. Some camps offer out-of-camp program for this age level. Junior campers also might work on Junior Badge requirements.
Cadette/Senior/Ambassadors for girls who have completed grades 5-11. We have some specialty camps just for you that aim at interests for girls your age.
Program Aides for girls who have completed grades 6 -11 and completed the Program Aide training. PA Courses are designed to allow girls to practice their leadership skills and work as a team with adults and peers. As Program Aides at Day Camp, the girls assist adult leaders in helping girls plan and participate in the Day Camp. Girls who complete Program Aide training and give service as a Program Aide can earn their Program Aide patch or pin.
Adults! Be part of the Day Camp experience!! Most Day Camps need adult leaders for a variety of roles, both full time and part time. If you have children, they come to camp at a reduced fee.
Tots and Boys Units Programs are available for the children of Day Camp staff members. School aged daughters enroll in the appropriate unit for their age. Pre-schoolers and boys (up to grade 6) have their own Day Camp Units.
