Girl Scout Events & Series ProgrammingGirl Scout events offer something for everyone and are aimed at delivering the Girl Scout Leadership Program to girls through a variety of ways including community volunteer organized events, council driven program partnerships or through local resource development for troops and individual girls.

There are hundreds of programs being offered throughout our Council for all ages and interest areas. These can be multiple session programs or one-day events.

Here are just a few of the types of programs offered ths past year:

Council-Sponosed Events & Series


These programs are managed by GSSEM. Registration for these events is handled by the council.

  • Mall Frenzy - overnight lock-in for our older girls
  • Zoo Expedition - badge and family activities
  • Healthy You - physical acitivity program
  • Cookie Rallies & Cookie Colleges - entrepreneurship program
  • International River Crossing - cultural awareness program
  • Camp Moxie - four-day leadership event
  • Equestrian programs

Council-Partner Events & Series


These are activities where GSSEM works with outside companies / groups to provide unique experiences or offers to our members.  Registration for these events may or may not be handled by GSSEM.

  • Chemistry Day - S.T.E.M. awareness
  • Taking Care of Business - financial literacy
  • Shrek, The Musical - special pre-show event
  • Night with the Pistons - healthy lifestyle activities and family discounts
  • Disney On Ice - special ticket opportunities

Community Sponsored Events & Series


These programs are developed and managed strictly by our volunteers.  Registration for community activities is handled by though our volunteers in a variety of ways.

  • Celebrating Community: United We Stand
  • Take AIM Archery Adventure
  • Beat the Winter Blues Lock-In
  • Recycled Fashion Runway & Clothing Swap
  • International Night
  • Snorkel & Scuba Instruction
