Recruitment Support Specialist


The Recruitment Support Specialist is responsible for initiating and pursuing communications strategies and protocols needed to convert prospective members (leads) to registered members. She/he is responsible for securing increased girl and adult volunteer participation as well as the community partnerships needed to implement Girl Scouting within an assigned area via inbound and outbound contacts.

Chief Financial Officer

 

  • Implement and oversee the development of the council’s various budgets, as well as administer and monitor operating and capital plans and budgets 
  • Maintain internal controls of the council’s finances and assets
  • Manage all financial accounts, transactions, and records
  • Prepare and issue timely and accurate financial statements, analyses, and reports
  • Engage the board’s finance, audit, and investment committees around issues, trends, and changes relevant to the overall financial landscape
  • Oversee payroll and financial aspects of the benefits function
  • Supervise finance and/or accounting staff
  • Manage relationships with leading institutions in the financial community
  • Contribute to the overall financial policies and procedures development of the council
  • Functions as a member of the senior leadership team to set strategic goals and implement operations within a council spanning a geographic area of eight counties and serving almost 50,000 girl members and 20,000 adult volunteers.

Director of Product Sales


Develops strategic plans and manages the tactical execution of all aspects of the 
council’s product sales program including planning, budgeting, marketing and 
promotions. The Director of Product Sales works in collaboration with council 
representatives from finance, program, membership, marketing and communications 
and other departments to ensure the successful execution of annual product sales 
campaign, meeting or exceeding the council’s business plan. Supervises assigned staff 
and/or volunteers. To direct and coordinate ongoing product sales through troop and to 
develop and promote adult participation within a council spanning a geographic area of 
eight counties and serving approximately 28,000 girls and 11,000 adults.

Activity Specialist


Activity Specialists will take the lead in running weekend troop/group camping activities and special event programming.  They will develop and run group/troop camping and special events activities such as arts and crafts and nature education as part of the camp’s schedule of events.  They will lead the camp’s outdoor education program through hands-on activities with adults and girls.  They will manage camping data on user groups, procedures, schedules and site use information, keep records and reports conducted in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age, with prior experience serving in a non-profit youth setting including, but not limited to, the areas of recreation, education, or other social science.
  • At least one year leadership or youth programming experience preferred.
  • Must be detail oriented and have a basic knowledge of how to lead camp activities and manage groups, including customer service and conflict management.
  • Must be able to work weekends.
