Junior Musician Workshop in Novi

Just about everyone loves music. And making it is just as fun as listening to it! Whether you’re already a musician, or you just want to see what it’s like to make sounds on an instrument, there’s something for you at this workshop!

Girl Scout Juniors get to collectively choose from various music activities and games, interview professional musicians, listen to live music, get tips on performance and playing, and explore musical expression! This event is led by Expressions Music Academy’s professional music instructors and educators.

A Fall Day with My Guy

Enjoy beautiful Camp Innisfree with your favorite guy! Bring your dad, grandpa, uncle or another significant male(over the age of 18) with you to enjoy and afternoon of fun!

You will rotate through fishing, pumpkin carving, lunch, campfire with s'mores, father/daughter games, wagon rides and more. Bring your own fishing equipment and carving tools for your pumpkin. Limited equipment supplies will be available.

Patch for the girls included. Limited capacity. Girls must have a male chaperone over 18yrs. old

Monroe 2014 Labor Day Parade

Monroe/Lenawee AFL-CIO Labor Day Parade will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2014 through Downtown Monroe.
Community 12 has an online sign up for any Girl Scout member (girl w/adult supervision) to participate in the Labor Day parade with line up at 9 am on Jones Ave - Parade Kick Off at 10 am.
The parade route will be 1.7 miles and ends at St. Mary's Park.
This parade will coincide with the 8th Annual River Raisin Labor Day Bar-B-Que Festival in the streets of historic Downtown Monroe.

This workshop is highly recommended to attend. You will explore the steps to earning this prestigious award while learning the difference between Take Action and community Service. The workshop is presented by experienced members of the Gold Award committee. The Girl Scout Gold Award is a leadership adventure and the highest honor a Girl Scout Senior or Ambassador can achieve.
