Volunteer Orientation - Port Huron

This 3-hour, in-person course is a comprehensive orientation to the Girl Scout Leadership Experience and covers information that is vital for Troop and Program Volunteers.  Topics include: GSSEM resources about Program, Money &  Safety, the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, Girl's Guide to Girl Scouting and Leadership Journeys.  Troop and Program Volunteers are required to take this course online, in-person or in both formats.

Discover Michigan Scavenger Hunt, Waterford

Come take a "tour" of Michigan through a scavenger hunt. Girls will work in teams to solve puzzles to guide them to stations that represent different sites of Michigan. Girls will also make a craft. Girls will receive a Michigan patch and a goodie bag with Michigan made goodies. See attached form more information and to register.

Leaders and their daughters are heading to the Soaring Eagle Water Park in Mt. Pleasant for an overnight.

We’ve secured a group rate of $119.00 for the night plus tax. Gold Award Training

This workshop is highly recommended for girls in 9-12th grade and thier interested adults to attend.  You will explore the steps to earning this prestigious award while learning the difference between Take Action and community service.  The workshop is presented by experienced members of the Gold Award committee.  The Girl Scout Gold Award is a leadership adventure and the highest honor a Girl Scout Senior or Ambassador can achieve.  As part of a movement of 10 million girls worldwide, you are in an exceptional position to take action in your community to make the world

Aviation Day

Join women pilots of the Michigan Chapter of the 99’s in exploring the skies at Aviation Day! Among the activities the event will include special events such as Rocket Building, Air Traffic Control Tours(limited availability for adults), Air Navigation, Radio Communication, Airplane Cockpit Photo Ops. Limited capacity, adult to girl ratios must be maintained, sorry no tagalongs.

Chemisty Day

Back by popular demand Chemistry Day 2014! Girls grade 4-5 will earn their National Chemistry Week patch (included) while participating in a community service project. Discover the world of chemistry with hands-on-experiments, meet chemists in different fields and more. Patch, light snack and pizza lunch included. Brownie First Aid Badge Workshop in Dearborn Heights - PM Session

Girls will participate in the steps necessary to earn the Brownie First Aid badge. Individual girls and troops are welcome. Girls don't need an adult to stay with them for this event. Leaders are welcome to stay with their troop. The workshop will be at the Dearborn Heights Police Department.

This is a Troop Money Earning event; Community Troop girls are encouraged to attend, but are not able to use program credits to pay for participation.
