American Red Cross certified Babysitting Course will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2014 from 9 am - 3:30 pm
Clinton Twp. Service Center
Girl Scout members between the age of 11 and 15 years (Junior, Cadette or Seniors) will complete the American Red Cross certified Babysitting Course and receive their certification.
Along with completion of the Babysitting course
JUNIORS – will complete their First Aid legacy badge
CADETTES – will complete their Babysitting skill builder badge
SENIORS – will receive a FUN PATCH

Junior Cool Science in Waterford

Juniors will participate in a variety of fun science activities to earn most of the Entertainment Technology badge. This is a money earning event to help a girl go on a GSUSA Destination trip this summer. Older girls will lead activities.

Cashew cash, cookie dough and program credits may not be used as payment for troop/idividual money earning events.

Brownie Cool Science-Home Scientist Badge-Waterford

Be Your Own Hero-Personal Safety Workshop in Shelby Twp.

Girls (ages 11-14) will learn how to avoid being the victim of an attack, as well as protection and escape strategies for if they find themselves in danger. Police officers and personal safety professionals will share potentionally life saving tips and techniques. We will also talk about internet safety, and teach them how to be safe in cyber space. Participants will create ID cards with photos and fingerprinting, and more. This is a Silver Award Project, see attached flyer for more information.

 

C07 Family Picnic/Awards Ceremony in Shelby Twp.

There will be Adult C07 Leadership Awards (nomination form attached), Adult C07 Years of Service Recognition, Girl C07 Bronze & Silver Award Recognition, and a Community 07 Bridging Ceremony!  See attached document for more information, to nominate a C07 adult volunteer for a community award and to register.

Come join us as we experience science, sand art, outdoor games and some pure camp fun! Girl Scout Daisies, Brownies and Juniors will have scheduled sessions. Cadettes and older will choose self-directed actvities, sessions of choice, or work with the girl leadership team for a taste of camp leadership.

Arrive at 4PM and meet in church basement.  We will assign flag carriers and those taking up gifts to those that show up.  Mass begins at 4:30 p.m.   Cupcakes, milk, juice, coffee will be provided in the Church basement after Mass.  Wear your vest/sash/uniforms.

Daisy Core Camp "Camp Sampler"

Daisy Core Camp is a special one-night camping event for Daisy girls and adults to experience Girl Scout camp traditions at Camp Hawthorn Hollow!  Girls will make new friends and create lasting memories while participating in camp ceremonies, songs, games and outdoor fun (weather permitting).  Girls will receive a Core Camp patch for the weekend.  Campers will enjoy modern lodging for 1 night, a snack on Friday and 3 meals on Saturday, served in our dining hall.  Registrations will be accepted from troops (in a 1:1 adult to girl ratio - Daisy girls are required to camp w

Global Youth Service Day Project--Shelby

Come help us make the world a better place! Join us on the World’s Largest Youth Service Day as we improve the Shelby Township Veteran’s Memorial grounds! Volunteers participate in the Veteran Memorial Project by planting flowers, raking, cleaning the grounds, etc. For more details and to register see the attached document.
