We are excited to welcome Veronika Scott to this year's line-up of presenters at Camp Moxie. Featured as one of Crain Magazine's "Twenty in their 20's",  Veronika started the Detroit Empowerment Plan, a small non profit which hires women out of shelters to make coats. What's more unique? Veronika's coat doubles as as a sleeping bag for the homeless.

This week marks Volunteer Appreciation week! GSSEM volunteers are the heartbeat and the core of our organization. Girl Scouting would not exist without their dedication and talents. We couldn’t serve the girls without you, and the untold hours of time that you give define our excellence as a council.

GSSEM honored volunteers at a special recognition ceremony and luncheon on Saturday April 13, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church of Troy.  Award recipients were nominated by their peers to receive prestigious board approved Girl Scout awards and recognitions.
